On the 7th of July 2006, the Austrian Proteomics Association (AuPA) was founded in Vienna, Austria.
The goal of our organization is the promotion of basic sciences and the enhancement of methods and their development with regard to all sciences involved in Proteomics, especially in Austria.
The AuPA is also an official member of the European Proteomics Association (EuPA), which comprises the federation of the national European associations.
Trying to provide a platform for bringing together the various widespread Austrian groups we additionally endeavour to coordinate and promote the national and international interests.
What does the AuPA offer its members?
- Once a year the AuPA organises a Symposium presenting the latest trends in Proteome sciences.
- Being an AuPA member allows you to join international EuPA meetings at reduced registration rates.
- Being a student AuPA member enables you to join specially organized summer schools.
- Special courses for AuPA members allow you to get in contact with new methods and deepen your present knowledge.
- AuPA members will have the possibility to join a free series of lectures where well known scientist will present their latest achievements.
Afterwards the particular (and other) topics will be discussed in an relaxing and friendly atmosphere of food, beer and wine. - Being an AuPA member gives you access to a set of different well established "Proteomic" protocols, that can also be discussed in the "member only" area.
